John Thomas Yancey and his son William Yancey

Hello,

John Thomas Yancey is on the 1870 census with a son named William Yancy at 6 years old. John Thomas is on the 1880 census with a son named William Yancey at 16 years old.

I cannot find William Yancey after the 1880 census. What happened to him? I do not know his birthdate or middle initial.

Here is a list of his known siblings: Alice E, John T., Calvin Lewallen, Charley Johnson, Ida Emma, Ada Bell, Robert, Curren Jeffery, David D. and half siblings are Perry Green Yancey, Noah Edgar, Ada Bell, Mary Altha, Wiley Benton, Virgie Lucille, General Lee, and Minnie Genlda.
