Erin, Had some success finding some of your family in 1910: Michael Yakes (a possible) age 60 Worth Twp. Sanilac Co.; he was born in Canada. Description shows married twice, currently married 16 years. No sign of his wife with him. Thomas L., Huron Co. Dwight Twp. age 26, married 6 years. Naturalized; immigrated 1888. Wife: Eda E. age 29/ or 23, b. MI, parents b. MI. 1 child born, 1 child living. Son: Keith L. age 4 , b. MI Russel age 27, married 5 years, immigrated 1892. Ruby, age 23, had 2 children/ 0 child living, immigrated 1889. Sophia age 61, married 38 years, had 8 children/6 living. immigrated 1892. Melvel (Melvin)J. age 33, married 11 years, b. Can. imm. 1892, Naturalized. Wife: Mable P., age 27, had 2 children/ 2 living. b. MI Rhea age 9, b. MI Geraldine (hard to read) P. age 1 3/12 (also hard to read), b. MI. What I've sent should give you a start. Sorry I couldn't find the other sibs of Russel, but they may have returned to Canada, or left the state. Maybe even joined the service. One thing I can tell you is what my aged Uncle told me when I first couldn't find records of family members in Michigan. He said, "When the ice was thick enough" on the St Clair River, the Canadian born Michigan residents would walk, ride horses, take sleighs and use whatever means to cross between the two places in the winter. They visited, and sometimes even worked in the two separate places. So, don't be surprized if family "seems" to disappear from year to year. Best wishes.
