My connection to the Dekles is not direct. The closest is Ellender Dekle who married 1) Jordain Sutton and 2) Swain Marsh Anderson. Swain was a brother of my greatgrandmother Elizabeth Anderson. The Dekles, Ansel in Thomas Co as well as Ellender, go back to John Leonard Dekle who married Sally Grissom. He was a German immigrant who settled in Effingham Co Ga. I don't know of any Wynn marriages but there well could have been. Some of the Dekles married into the Brown, Rountree, Sutton, Canady/Kennedy and other families that are connected to mine. If it seems that I have a lot of Emanuel County ties, I do. All of my greatgrandparents lived there at some point during their lifetimes, so I am familiar with quite a few of the names in the area. I wish I could be of more help.
