Thank you for the offer of the copy of the letter of Bolin Hall, but I have a copy from your posting on Rootsweb mailing list. From my info, Bolin and Hester divorced in 1889, and they did not have any children. She did collect a pension on Bolin in 1907. (#1953)
Yes, the John Wynn and Hester on the 1850 and 1860 census is mine. 1840 John C. Wynn, his father, was in Lowndes Co. Ga., 1830 he was in Thomas Co. Ga. I had seen the 1820 Emanuel Co. Ga. census, and the ages fit, also other surnames from Emanuel were in Thomas at the same time, so I think this is John C. Wynn. Some of these same names are found in Columbia and Alachua later. I can not get any farther back on him. Do you have additional info?
Hester is on the 1870 Clay Co. census, 1880-1900-1910 she is in Bradford Co.
Children of John L. Wynn and Hester Johns: Edward Cabell, Peter Parley (my great grandfather), Lucretia, Susannah, Nellie Grey. I have additional info on these, and will be happy to share.
