Hello Edward: There were two Sir John Wynn bart. The first of the Wynns of Gwydir was the first Sir John Wynn bart., born 1553 and died 1627. He had a son John, born about 1583 and died 1613, who obviously never inherited the title.
The first Sir John Wynn bart (1553-1627) also had a son Henry (1602-1671), and Henry had a son John born 1627/28 and died 1719. That John (1627/28-1719) inherited the baronetcy from his cousin Richard in 1674 and became Sir John Wynn, the 5th and last baronet of Gwydir.
