I am trying to locate information on Issac Ridgaway/Ridgway who married Bridget Wyman, daughter of Benjamin Wyman and Bridget Spaulding. Bridget was born on 27 Dec 1729 and was married to Isaac Ridgeway of Boston on either 16 Mar 1748 (Bond?) or 30 Mar 1749. I found both dates on ancestry.com. I know Isaac was a soldier in the 7 Year War and the Revolutionary War. I found his pension records which show him as enlisting in Massachusetts and eventually shows him as living in NEW YORK. This brings us to the 1790, 1800 & 1810 Census' in Dutchess Co., NY. The 1810 Census shows he still has a wife. This would make them 80 years old +/-. Isaac & Bridget married in 1749 and may have had children within the years spanning their marriage date and the dates of these three children born in Suffolk Co., Mass; John born 18 Nov 1762 Bridget born 12 May 1764 James born 30 Dec 1765 Also in the 1810 there is a James Ridgway living near by. James is in his mid 20's, married with 5 chidlren under 10 years of age. He is probably a grandson of Isaac & Bridget. By 1820 Uriah and John appear in the Philipstown , Putnam Co., NY Census. Part of this used to be Philipstown, Dutchess Co., NY so they didn't move just the borders had. Uriah and his wife were over 45 with one son under 10 and one 16-26 2 worked in Manufacturing. John and his wife were 26-45 and they had 2 daughters under 10 and 1 under 16. 1 worked in Commerce. I descend from Uriah born abt 1780-90 but I can not find who Uriah's father is. It is possible he is younger son of Isaac or Isaac's grandson..son of John or James or another son I have yet to find. If you have any clues I would greatly appreciate an email in reply Notify Administrator about this message?
