Kalamazoo Gazette Jan, 23 1947 Woman Dies at Breakfast Table Mrs Mary Hudson III for SomeYTime. Mrs.Mary Hudson, 69, of 816 Buckhout avenue, a widow, died suddenly this afternoon while sitting at her breakfast table. She had been ill for an extended period. The body was found by a step-granddaughter, France Fleaman, soon after death occoured, as the coffee in Mrs.Hudson's cup was still warm. Deputy Sheriff Ray Sobanski and Dr. Ralph G.Cook, county coroner, were summoned to the Hudson home and investigated the death. The body was removed to the Joldersma and Klien funeral home. Mrs. hudson is survived by five sons, two daughters, and three stepsons. ________________________________ Kalamazoo Gazette Obit.. Jan.24, 1947 Plan Rites Thursday For Mrs.Hudson Funeral services will be held at Joldersma and Klien chapel for Mrs.Mary Elizabeth Hudson, 816 Buckhout avenue, who died Thursday at her home. Mrs. Hudson, was born May 29, 1877 in Harrisburg, Pa. She was first married to Howard Thompson, who died in 1904. Later she married Albert Hudson, who died in 1932. She leaves two daughters and five sons. Mrs Martha Slaughter, Herman Thompson and Oscar Thompson all of Kalamazoo, Mrs Ila Shaffer, of Hopkins, Earl Thompson of Allegan, Ivan Thompson, of Hannah, Indana., and Reginald Hudson of Seattle, Washington; Three step sons and a stepdaughter, Roy and Ray Hudson of Kalamazoo, Wilbert Hudson of Blackwell, Okla. and Mrs. Emma Campbell of Grand Rapids; Three brothers and three sisters, Chris, Martin and William Whistler, Mrs Sarah Voss and Mrs Jane Catlin, all of Gibbons, Neb. and Mrs. Lavina Wyman, of Fontana, California; 38 grandchildren and two great grand-children.
