The Marine Corp is very careful to document all it's exploits so there is somewhere a combat chronical of the 6th Marines in the time frame you mention. But it will not get into the specifics of any individuals except top ranking officers and elisted men who win high level medals.
The only way to reconstruct the details of the military duties of any serviceman is to get his personell file from the National Archives.
Discharge papers usually document a serviceman's tour in truncated form. It was rather common for returning servicemen to have their discharge papers copied into the archives of the county recorder, or whatever county office performed those duties, so that the records would be safeguarded.
