Margaret Wren emigrated 1906 Ireland to Syracuse

I am researching my grandfather, Patrick F. OConnor (b.1896) who emigrated from Ireland with Margaret Wren in 1906. They eventually ended up in Syracuse NY. Other Wren family members had emigrated at different times previous. The 1910 census said Margaret was a widow, age 51, 9 children. Patrick, age 14 census said, was a nephew of the head of household....but Margaret was a widow!

Further research said John OConnor (b.1898) emigrated alone in 1913 from Co. Sligo to stay with Patrick and Margaret in NY.

Speculation was Patrick was her son, or her grandson. Anyone from the Wrens of Syracuse have any info?
