Recently, a family member told me my GrGrandmother told her that her Grandfather looked like the Woolf side of the family.

Not sure which side of the family the Woolf connection would be on. My GrGrandmother has been dead since mid 1900's. But, I have never heard we had a Woolf connection.

So, if any of this sounds familiar, e-mail me at chrmann@hotmail.com

My GrGrandfather was George Franklin Loman. He married Mary Elizabeth Hale. GFL was born in Hillsboro, Texas in 1861. Mary Elizabeth Hale was born in Missouri. Her parents married in Cassville, Missouri. Their names were Zachariah Taylor Hale and Sarah Jane Phillips. Sarah Jane Phillips left Taylor Hale and married Christopher Springer. He was working on the KATY railroad. Sarah Jane Phillips and Christopher Phillips ended up in McAlester, Ok. during the Oklahoma Land Rush. He had at least 3 different businesses in McAlester. He owned the first drug store in McAlester.

Several of the posts to this forumn sound like their Woolf was from McAlester, Oklahoma and Cassville, Missouri. So, hoping to hear from someone who can tell me about my Woolf connection.
