I am looking for information on my gggg grandfather,
HENRY WOOLF. (Could be WOLFE or WOLF.)

I believe he was born in Virginia (possibly Greenbrier County - which is now in WV I believe) and in 1812 moved to Ross County, Ohio near Chillicothe. He fought in the Revolutionary War and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died in 1825 in Ohio.

His son was George Wolfe who was born in Greenbrier County, VA and moved with his parents in 1812 to Ohio. In 1826 George moved to Morgan County, Illinois where he was one of the early pioneers. George was married to Mary Simms (Sims) who was born in Spartanburg, SC. In 1839, George and Mary and family moved to Macoupin County, Illinois. George died in 1874. He had a son named James who married Faustina Magoon. James died in 1908 in Illinois.

Does anyone know anything about any of these guys? Especially Henry - I need to know more about him! Thank you. You may e-mail me at jabowolf@aol.com
