His grandson, John Francis Wolff SAXON (1819-1896) was my wife's grt-grt-grandfather. I've never heard even a speculation that he might have been Jewish (although truthfully I've never heard any indication at all of what his religious beliefs might have been).
I would like to correspond with you about this John Francis WOLFF--for example, I'd like to know your source for his birthdate and place, which you list as 1764 in Germany.
