I am researching Marinus as well. My Ggrandfather George Willett, NYC policeman, is the son of another Marinus Willett or perhaps Cornelius Marinus Willett. I have been at a dead-end but I found lots of info on Col Marinus while looking. My Marinus was born in the early 1800s and is undoubtedly related as they were still in NY until the 1940s. Good luck.
