The photo may be of the Rena Wight born 27 February 1874 in Alabama NY, just west of Batavia. (see http://www.rootsweb.com/~nygenese/) She was listed in the 1890 genealogy "The Wights" by W. W. Wight as youngest daughter of Abel and Maria (Hitchcock) Wight. There was no more information available to that author.
Abel Wight died in Genesee County NY on 1/1/1900 and in the same cemetery with his there is a gravestone with the name Rena Wight: Feb. 27, 1874 -- 22-Apr-25. (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nygenese/reedcem.htm)
Photos were frequently given to cousins, friends, etc. and may have traveled to or with them in distant states.
