Ann, i am the ggrandson of John R. Whyte, grandson of Alexander Blair Whyte. I have the same children of John as you.
I have quite a bit of info on from Alexander to the present which I will be glad to share with you. Whe I print out the Descenddants of John R. Whyte my report is 24 pages long. Incidently, Alexander was a charter inductee into the Kent State University Athletic Hall of Fame in January 1979.
