Dale: I'm gggranddaughter of John R. Whyte and Jenette/Janet Whellan/Whelan. I'm William's ggranddaughter. Most of John & Jenette's family came to Dayton, OH circa 1885 after living briefly in Hamilton, OH. John d. 8-3-1911, Jenette d. 12-18-1920. Both buried Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. Children: Thomas, William, John R. Jr., Jenette, David Brand, Alexander Blair, Margaret Reid, and George Burke. Thomas & David remained in New Jersey. William and George were noted stonemasons/
sculptors in Ohio and other areas. William also did ornamental plaster moldings. Alexander became first buildings & grounds supt., coach, etc. at what is now Kent State U. William and wife Helena Sailey had 10 children; my maternal grandmother was the oldest. More info available. Ann Cummings
