Looking for information and relatives of Thomas Dickson Whyte and Mary Ann Sutherland Burnette and any of their children.
My great grandfather was Thomas Dickson Whyte, a Journeyman Shoemaker. He was born in 1840 and died October 20, 1914. His parents were John Dickson Whyte and Jane Hall. Thomas was married to Mary Ann Sutherland Burnette. Her parents were William Burnette, a handloom weaver and Isobel Hounter.
During the 1891 census, Thomas and Mary were living at 16 Kinnaird Place, Brechin, Angus, Scotland. Children's names were Charles, age 23, a Mechanic Spinner, ,Jane, age 17 a factory worker, Mary Ann and Elizabeth were both 13 also factory workers, Robert age 10, James age 8, and Agnes age 5.
