Benjamin Whiting, Jr.'s parents have been found!

They are:

Benjamin Whiting, Sr. birth date unknown, born in New Hampshire, moved to Lisle, Broome, NY by 1825, then to Menard County, Illinois by 1834. Died between 1843-1845 in Petersburg, Menard, IL.

and

Rhoda, born in New Hampshire. We do not know her surname at this point, her parents or her date of birth. She married Daniel Catlin in 1846 who died, then she married Anson Seward in 1850. From IL, they moved to Iowa where they both died about 1856.
