I note that Riley Whiting started making clocks in 1807, if I'm reading his bio correctly. The Healy ancestor of mine who came to Ontario (then called the Upper Canada Colony) from Nova Scotia and brought the clock with him did so in 1811.

There's a short window there of 4 years where he would have had to have purchased a clock made by Whiting that would have to have been shipped to the then-British colony from a United States port - presumably Boston.

I suppose that's plausible.
