1793 family bible At the end of the Old Testament are two hand-written pages of births, deaths, and marriages. Page says "William Whiting and Lydia Child were married November 20th, 1766." It goes on to list vital records for the following names: Whiting, Child, Thayer, and Gookin. From what research I have done, it looks like the Whiting / Child families come from the Dedham, Massachusetts area in Norfolk County.
