a Martha Ann White married Alva or Alvie Curtis Stoup after 1870, probably in Taney Co MO. A C Stoup and the Stoup line came from Macoupin Co IL to Taney Co MO. A C Stoup would later come to Texas, Denton and Cooke counties.
Martha and A C had at least a son, born Oct 1879 and a daughter, Adeline or Addie Lee born Jan 1883. I am not sure the son lived. Not sure what happened to Martha, A C Stoup would remarry again in about 1899 in TX.
They are listed on the 1880 Taney Co MO census as Alva Storep.
Would like to know more about Martha, she was the mother of my g grandmother Addie Lee Stoup Brewer Horton who died in TX.
