Hubert 'Frank' White, 81, Asbury Place, passed away Friday, September, 11, 2009. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington Co TN. Mr. White was a son of the late Isaac and Nellie Hensley White. He had worked many years at Bolton Block Company and was a United States Air Force Veteran having served his country during World War II. Mr. White was a long time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1831, Johnson City. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lena White Douglas. Survivors include his long time companion, Goldie Roberts, Johnson City TN; nephews, Gary and Jerry Douglas, Telford, TN; nieces, Hazel Hall, Connie Payne, Judy Briggs, and Kay Grindstaff, all of Telford, TN, Tommie Douglas, IND, and Peggy Kilby, Jonesborough, TN. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time. The funeral service were conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009, from the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Powers officiating. Graveside services were held 10 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2009, in the Telford Cemetery. Military Honors were accorded by the Kingsport VFW Post 4933 Honor Guard. Pallbearers were James Murray, Paul Murray, Gary Douglas, Bob Carrier, Jerry Douglas and Gilbert Hall. Everyone attending was asked to meet at the cemetery.
