In the pedigree chart of my line of Whites, researched by a cousin in the 1970's and 80's, she shows a son of Henry Asberry White, b. 1814 1819, Bedford or Perry County TN, d. 1900 Snyder, Scurry, Texas (we cannot prove) and his second wife, Martha Rebecca Bain, b. 1838, AL, d. 1877, Comanche County, TX. In 1880, Henry and his new wife, Elizabeth Daniels, were living in Comanche County, TX, the household was comprised of Henry, Elizabeth, Jacob W age 14, Oscar age 5, Walter E age 11/12, and Paulina Landers age 6, a step-daughter. At that point we lose track of Henry, Elizabeth and their combined family. However, in an undocumented note about Oscar, it is stated that he was murdered in 1901. The cousin who did the original research is now deceased, and the remaining three of us cousins who are trying to unravel this tale have been able to find nothing. A contact in Comanche County could find nothing about this supposed murder in Comanche County, and since we don't know where the family migrated to from there, we're at a loss for ideas about where to look.
