I am looking for information on the Weiss/Wyss family from Switzerland to Wisconsin via Ohio. I am stuck!! I am not sure which spelling to look for, but the farthest I can get is to Jacob Wyss abt 1762 or 1770 m. Maria Aeberhard(Everhart or Eberhart are the US spellings) 1774-? married 3/12/1790 in Switzerland. Their son Jacob 1/18/1799-5/18/1885 came to America with a group that settled in Athens Co,Ohio and married a Rosina Stalder 10/5/1798-2/27/1879. I can then trace our family to Wisconsin, however, I would like to dig further into our Swiss roots. Any information or help is appreciated.
