Joyce, it sounds like the Seth and Jane Bill Webber mentions in his reply to your message are the Seth and Jane who are parents of Elizabeth Jane, who married Josiah Dobbs in Jefferson Co. IL 1853. What do you think? Does that fit with what you already know?

PS--the more I look at Josiah and Elizabeth, the more I think it unlikely that they divorced...I think it must be a different woman who married Lapsley Witters.
