Hello Christine, thank you for your message. However, I doubt there's a connection with "my" Webbers--or if there is, that we could uncover it. Elizabeth Jane Webber married Josiah Dobbs, Jr. in Jefferson Co., which is east of Carlinville (which is nearly to St. Louis). The Webber family were living in Jefferson Co. at that time, and I have no knowledge about where they may have been before or after, although others on this forum might. Elizabeth was the second wife of my ancestor, and not my blood kin--so I'm not willing to pursue her too far! She and Josiah and their children moved to Texas sometime after 1870, and it is possible that their route may have taken them through Carlinville...but how can we know?
