Clyde, we may be working on the same branch of Deweeses.
I wrote to Jack C. Vaughn, the Deweese Family Archivist, and he has placed my Mary Deweese(b1849/50) who married Michael E. Stanton in Warrick Co, Indiana in 1868, as the dau. of Absolom Deweese and Elizabeth Sams from Ballard Co., Ky. It is very possible that Absolom and Lucinda are siblings or cousins.
