I know this is a much discussed topic on this forum as I have read through countless posts by all of you and think perhaps some of you just might be able to help me. I am related to many families from Harpswell, Webber being one of them. I have two Webber questions.
1). Does anyone show a Susan (or Susannah) Webber b.1822 marrying Charles J. Bibber of Harpswell, ME? and if so, who were her parents? I have Richard Webber as her father but no proof of it.
2). Does anyone have an Edith J. Webber b. abt. 1865 of Cumberland, ME marrying a Eugene C. Webber of Harpswell. I have a listing of their marriage or an intent to marry from Harpswell Town records, but don't know who Edith's parents were. Eugene Cyrus Bibber was my grt. grandfather and he was born to the above mentioned Susan Webber and Charles J. Bibber. If Eugene was in fact married to this Edith then she was his first wife and I don't think anyone in the family knew of this marriage. So this was a surprise discovery. I only knew his wife to be my grt. grandmother Violet Alma Coffin.
