Since my Harriet Webber was b. 1804 in NY and your Stephen b. 1808 or 1818, it's possible they were sibs or cousins. Stephen named one of his children Harriet. That could have been after his sister. They both had a son named Hiram. Family name? One of the early settlers of Clinton Co. was an Elisha Webber, who was the right age to be Harriet's father. I would not be at all surprised if they were family, since there was a small population in early Clinton Co. but I don't know.
