I have no idea if this is of help or not, but perhaps we might find a connection. My ancestor Jeremiah Webber (c.1796-1845) married in 1818 in Noblesboro to Jane M. Mayhew (1797-1862). Jeremiah had a brother (I don't have my notes in front of me) who married one of Jane's sisters. There is a close proximity between Noblesboro and Edgecomb. I know nothing of Jeremiah's ancestors. Would love to know though. Incidently, Jeremiah and Jane left Maine for New Hampshire and then ended up in Newark, Vermont.
