My wife's gt X4 grandparents were Webbers from Wiveliscombe, Somerset, UK.
If you Google
somerset parish register wiveliscombe
you come to listings of Births, Marraiges and Deaths of the Parish Church at Wiveliscombe and there are more Webber surnames than you can shake a stick at!!
Brieflt, George WEbber married Ann White on the 6th May 1785 and had about 11 children. One of them was a Betty Webber who married James Aplin on the 5th April 1818.
Through the Index link on this parish, you can visit many Somerset Parish Registers, example Huish Champflower, just 2 miles away. All these registers were painstakingly copied out and freely available by a hero called David Cheek, to whom I'm sure, many are indebted.
