WEBBER Donald Arthur January 21, 1929 - May 2, 2009 Don passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in his 81st year. He will be greatly missed by his loving family - wife Nancy, and sons Donald and Darren. Also surviving Don are his sisters Betty Sahaydak, Anne Marie (Fred) Maides and Nancy's siblings Miriam (Harold) Etter, Bob (Ann) Paul, Louise Paul and Elbert (Lynn) Paul. Many nieces and nephews will remember Uncle Don fondly. Don was born in Vancouver, BC, graduated from Lord Byng High School and then Normal School. After beginning his teaching career, he pursued his education during evenings and in the summers until he earned his Master of Education in Fine Arts from UBC. Don loved teaching and enjoyed interaction with students and co-workers. He was one of the founders of the BC Art Teachers Association and was involved in it for many years. His appreciation of art encompassed many forms and he used materials in a myriad of ways. Don's faith in God was significant, and he was always an active member of his church. Family and friends will remember Don for his love of conversation, his spontaneity, and helpfulness. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2121 Cedar Hill Cross Road, Victoria, BC on Saturday, May 16th at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to Hope Farm, c/o Mustard Seed Street Ministry, 625 Queens Avenue, Victoria, BC V8T 1L9.
