Christine-I saw your post and found it really neat. I happen to know many people from Carlinville, and believe that there is a chance that this art gallery is now a photo studio that is owned by my friend. At any rate, the town is still very small and I am sure that the historical society would beable to tell you more about the gallery, and there is a possibility that the gallery kept records. But keep in mind that Carlinville was almost the capitol of Illinois and that the railroad used to be its number one means of survival-so people passed through quickly. Anyways, do you mind if I tell my friend of your photos, or do you already know who they are of?
