Who is Buckridge or Maugridge Webb?

Has anyone ever heard of Buckridge Webb, b. Philadelphia in early 1700's? Fought in French and Indian War and eventually settled in NYC and Albany area by 1770. Married Catherine Sees or Sweet at Dutch Reformed Church NYC 1769 and had atleast 4 children 1770-1775, Wm,Joseph,John, and Elizabeth. It is such a strange first name and is sometimes spelled Bukride and Mogridge. I am wondering if there is any connection to Philadelphia Webbs and Mary Maugridge Boone ? He is living next door to Samuel Willet by 1800 in Albany who is also connected to the Boone-Maugridge family. Just curious if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.
