Benjamin Wadsworth an immigrant from Halifax, Yorks c1840s

All I know about my ggg-grandfather is that, from the marriage certificate of his son, Henry Wadsworth, his name was Benjamin Wadsworth and that he was a farmer. Henry was born in Barkisland, Halifax, Yorkshire in 1821.
I can surmise therefore that Benjamin Wadsworth was:
a) born probably in the Halifax area somewhere between 1780-1800, and
b) married probably in the Halifax area between 1805-1820
Having found no trace of him or his death in English records, there is the possibility that he emigrated to another country between 1821-1841

Any connections, suggestions or suggested sources to search welcomed
