See my posting on Mary Waddell who married Emsley Parks Marsh. One of them was believed to be part Cherokee and I am beginning to believe it was Mary. I thought she came from NC or TN since they moved to OK and he was born in Guilford Co., NC. Relatives say she may have been born in Iowa or Missouri. Emsley was born 12 May 1832 in Shelby Co., Polk Twp, North Carolina. Mary was his first wife and he died in Guyman, OK in 1902.
