I am trying to trace the ancestors of my great grandmother was Euphemia TYRIE who was born in Kilkardie, Fifeshire in Scotland in 1835. She had seven siblings born between 1826 and 1840. I have a bible given to her by her cousin Janet STOCKS in 1858 just before she left for Australia. There was a note in the bible giving the names and birthdates of her parents and siblings.
Her father was Andrew TYRIE born in 1801 (occupation ploughman), and her mother was Margaret STOCKS born in 1796. Andrew and Margaret were married at Portmoak, Kinross Scotland in January 1825.
In Australia Euphemia married Abraham VICKERY in 1864, and she had eight children. She died in 1910.
