Hi Patrick,

I have some more information about Patrick's father who was from Dundalk, Dowdallshill area named Owen and married to Judith Cunningham. Patrick Joseph Traynor had a twin brother named Francis Joseph who was my grandfather who was a baker and cook who travelled to the us looking for his brother in 1885-1886 arrived in NY then travelled on to Australia then New Zealand and stayed and lived here all his life The reason that my grandfather gave for him running away from home in Drogheda was that their Mother wanted him to take up the priesthood and he didn't want too so ran away about 1879. Their father lived in Drogheda all his married life and was called Maurice Joseph Traynor and married a Rose White from Dundalk area but south of there. There are other siblings, John,Bridget,Sarah, the twins Patrick and Francis,James,Peter,Arthur,Micheal from this marriage.

Maurice J. Traynor had two brothers John, Hugh all born in Dundalk 1831 - 1839 approx. Also they originate from the Poyntz Pass area but how far back I don't know. Does this ring any bells with this history.

Regards Frances Ross
