First, thank you for sharing so much wonderful information on these families! My particular interest (at the moment) is in HUDSON ALLEN THORNTON who married ELIZABETH RAGAN. According to DAR records Hudson and Elizabeth's daughter was LOUISIANA OLIVIA THORNTON b 03 Oct 1831; d 1905. She was married to WILLIAM THOMAS SMITH, CAPT., CSA b 09 Aug 1826 and died 29 May 1862 during the war of Northern agression. They were married 1848...a marriage of 14 years. However, their only known child as per DAR application was born in 1849 (as per 1850 Census for GA:Muscogee Co., Columbus). She was SARAH ANTOINETTE "NETTIE" SMITH (b. GA:Muscogee Co.)...there were approximately 10 years when William Thomas Smith was not away...who are the other children--siblings of "Nettie"?
