Dear DJ, You are a wonderful person to post all this! Thank you!! How coincidental that you posted this 2 days ago, and I only found a Thornton connection in my line this morning. I haven't found my Thornton's connection to Nathaniel and Dozier Thornton yet, but these folks were in the same county/parish - Webster - in Louisiana in 1880, so figure they must or might be connected somehow. And how extra interesting to see Middleton Meeks noted here, since that Meeks line also connects to mine back in Georgia. Hmmm.... Anyone out there who can identify my J. L. Thornton, b. abt 1857ish, who married Mary Martin, probably in Webster Parish, LA, around 1874? Mary had a sister named Rhoda who was living with them in 1880. Thanks again DJ. And thanks to anyone else who might be able to help. Brenda Notify Administrator about this message?
