I am trying to find where the Terrys from the low-country of SC came from. Most of my family were from the Johnson Township of Williamsburg or Georgetown County, SC. I haven't been able to get any information on George W. Terry, b. 1801 m. Sarah W ?, b. 1804. George is age 49 in the 1850 Census in Williamsburg County, SC. They had 3 children, William D. Terry, Elizabeth Terry, and George Washington Terry. George Washington Terry, b. 1841 m. Nancy Lloyd Flowers, b. 03/1838. George Washington was in the CSA and was listed in the 1880 Census in the Andrews Township. They had five children: William J. Terry, George L. Terry, Benjamin C. Terry, Agnes E. Terry, and Lemuel Presley Terry. Lemuel Presley Terry, b. 1879 m. Moriah Oriller Williams, b. 11/12/1896 and he died of lockjaw after having a tooth pulled by a dentist. They had eight boys and two girls. One of the sons, William Logan Terry was my grandfather. He was married to Mary Bertha Parsons from Hemingway. They met and settled in Lancaster County, SC. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thannk you.
