I figure James was born abt 1808-1810 because he was not of age in 1828 at the time of his marriage. You said his ancestor was Mary Morrison? WELL, This all could fit into my Morrison line.Joel Morrison and Mary "Polly" Morrison had an aunt Mary Morrison born abt 1734. I don't have any info on her except she is mentioned in her fathers will in Somerset Co., New Jersey in 1753. There were some Terry's in Somerset Co., NJ at the same time period. 2 of Mary Morrison's (born abt 1734) brothers moved to Hardin Co., KY very early on. One of the brothers, (David Morrison) is my ancestor. David was the father and granfather of the 2 Joel A Morrison's in question as to the guardian of James Terry who married Phillena Gilliland. Phillena's mother was a Morrison and sister to the oldest Joel A Morrison
