Dear Denise,
There is quite an extensive background on this part of the family, (The Iowa Branch)in the Tee~ Book. I will start with Edgar's father:
Thomas Jefferson Teegarden
b. 3-19-1850 in Greene Co., Pa. (or Col. Co., O.)
m. 1-30-1873 to Nancy Elizabeth Teater
d. 1923 both buried in Corydon, Iowa.
For many years, Thomas was Sheriff and then County Commissioner of Wayne County, Iowa.
Their Children of the 7th generation are:
-Flora b.1874
-Blanche b.1-6-1876 - m. to George Sollenberger, M.D., they had Floris and Eugene Sollenberger.
-Roy L. b.1877
-Arthur b.1880
-Grace b.1884
-Otis b.12-24-1885 unm.
-Edith Orpha b.3-11-1888 m.5-4-1910 to Walter Cooley
-Gladys Ruth b.8-19-1891 m.8-12-1912 to Roy Buckworth
and also:
Thomas Edgar Teegarden
b.12-25-1878 Appanoose Co., Iowa
m.2-24-1904 to Maude Jones (b.1878 Bethlehem, Iowa dau. of William & Mary (Buoy) Jones; d.1932)
d.8-8-1950 Ames, Iowa both bur. Confidence, Iowa.
The 1904-05 Pacific Coast Business Directory lists Thomas Edgar with an office in the Bradbury Building in Los Angeles. He was associated with the Boys' Industrial School, Waterman, California.
Their children of the 8th gen are:
-Doris Darlene Teegarden b.8-8-1917 Mystic, Ia.
m. 10-11-1940 to Theodore Wright Landsburg (b. 3-14-1916 son of W.E. & Mary (Jones) Landsburg) residing in Ames, Ia. in 1955.
They had Bill b.10-29-1943 and Thomas b. 10-24-1945.
-Gail Thomas Teegarden b.1905; d. 1916 bur. Confidence.
Hope that helps, the lineage goes on up from his father, and traces up to Abraham Te-, as found in the book: Descendants of Abraham Tegarden.
