What a difficult name to trace!
My family is the only Tacey I know of in Scotland.
I have traced my line back to William and Ann Tacey, married in Dungannon, N.Ireland, in the 1850's and moved to Glasgow.
Having briefly searched N.Ireland, like Scotland, there are no Tacey's to be found.
I am assuming they may have come from England before moving to Ireland.
William's father may be called Robert.
Does anyone out there know anything about these mysterious TACEY's?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
