Ken, D.M Sweat could be, but he would have been about 104yrs old when he died. The Dick Sweat I,m looking for was born in 1825 in either Ill. or Tenn. different census say one and the other. ??? He married Eliza Jane Bigham, also born 1825 in York Co., South Carolina, m. about 1852 and had 4 sons & 1 daughter, William L., Alfort T., John., Thomas S. & Ellen. the 1880 census was the last one i found him in. I'll check into the info you gave me and see what turns up. Thanks for your reply. Jackie
