Still looking for any info regarding the regarding the daughter of James J. and Mary Blackburn Sweat, Julia F. Sweat bn 1860. She married Stephen F. Miller on May 20, 1877, and had no natural children. In 1880 they have in their household one Frances R. Davis, female, age 2, and named a niece. Eventually her name became Fanny May Miller and in 1886 to 1890 another girl was added , Jettie M. Miller, bn 1 Aug 1886. It is not known who she was.
There are no adoption records of that time and nothing is recorded at the church where they were all members.
I am looking for any connection of either Julia or Stephen to a Davis person who could have passed away at or around 1877 to 1880. And so far the ony person I have found is Cassie Sweat who married William Davis and died in 1881. Cassie Sweat would have been an aunt of Julia and any child of hers would have been a cousin. Also there is the marriage of Julia's uncle, Berrien (Sweat) Henderson ,who married Martha Davis and may have had some Davis relative who could have passed and donated this child to Julia. It is not known right now of any other Davises closely connected to Stephen or Julia.
Also have been searching for a very long time for the gravesite of Julia Sweat Miller. I would very much like to know where she is buried.
Stephen Miller married again in 1897 to Olive Jordan and had children with her. I have found the grave of Stephen Miller at Walden Cemetery and Olive is buried in Pinellas Co, Fl.where she spent the last years of her life.
Fanny May Miller married Little Berry Anderson, son of Little Berry Anderson and Matilda Walker. She died in Palm Beach co.,Fl.in 1974. Jettie married Robert Horton and she is buried in Jesup City Cemetery and died in 1934.
