Dear Marge, I am a 2nd cousin 3 times removed of Della Swank Jordan. We share the ancestor of Johann Michael Schwenck and Johann George Swank. My line dexcends from George Swank and hers from Jacob Swank both sons of Johann George. Family lore says that Della wrote a history of the family stating that Johann Michael and a brother stowed away on a boat to America around 1750. They were discovered and were indentured for 7 to10 years to pay off their passage. Johann Michael married in Maryland then moved to Lovettsville, VA. Grandsons George and Jacob moved from Ohio to Indiana. Della's father William Jefferson was Jacob's youngest child.
If no one from Jacob's line is interested in the photo , I would love to have it and will continue to try to locate family members from Jacob's line.
