I have come to a halt in my research, I am stuck on a swank/schwenk depending upon which document you may find. I have noticed a name spell change within one generation. I am searching for my great grandfather's first wife who happens to be Frederika Schwenk (spellings may differ) what i know about her is...she is the daughter of Peter Swank and Phoebe Siegal (spellings also differ) they had at least 10 children. I found that peter and phoebe are buried in Oak Grove Cemetary in Kent County Michigan. Frederika was born in Stanton Island NY in 1854 and married George Schantz resided the remainder of their lives in Caledonia, kent county MI. I believe Frederika died somewhere between 1881-1882 being that George remarried in 1883. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
