David Swank was my GGG-Grandfather.I have him being born
abt. 1797 in PA. At some point he traveled to Pickaway
Co. Ohio and on July 9, 1818 he married Rachel Brasket.
They had children John, Mary Ann (who married John Coon)
Isaac,(who married Rachel Swank), Nancy,( who married
Thomas George), Margaret,( who married John Vance), and
Jonathan Benjamin,(who married Elizabeth Smith, and is
who my line decends from).They can all be found in the
1850 Picaway Co. Ohio census but show up in the Vermillion
co.IL 1860 census. I don't know when in the 10 yr period
they made the move. I don't have a death date for Rachel
but David died Oct 4, 1872. I haven't been able to find
what happened to widow Margaret after David died. Court
records show that a jury was called to divide assets. I
have more on the decendants of David if you want to contact
