This is incorrect information. Avarilla Greene Stone, b. 1799, was my ancestor. As stated, she was the wife of Charnock Cox Rust, but her father was James Stone, b. 1777, Granville County, NC, and her mother was Nancy Bobbitt. James' father was Jonathan Stone, b. 1755, Halifax County, NC married Philicia Cook, daughter of Shemuel Cook. Jonathan Stone's father was Captain John Stone, b. c1735, who married Alicia Hurst and lived in Halifax, Bute and Franklin County, NC. John Stone's parents have not been discovered, to date.
